Key Links & Documents
In the table below are documents needed to operate as a retailer
or self-retailer in ATCO Electric's service territory.
Retailer Qualification
Retailers that want to serve customers within
ATCO Electric's Service Territory must apply for distribution
access service. The
Retailer Qualification page provides a comprehensive description
of the qualification process, including the required forms and
documents.
Agent Qualification
Agents are companies contracted by self-retailers (and some
retailers) to perform billing services and manage the
Settlement System Code transactions. Agents are required
to register with ATCO Electric in order to set up and test the data
transfer processes. The process focuses on compliance testing
of the Settlement System Code transactions. For more information, please see
Agent Qualification.
Resources
The Resource Library is an
archive of documents and sample data useful to newly qualified
retailers or agents.
Enrolment Support
ATCO Electric believes in supporting the needs of the retailers and agents
with respect to enrolments and historical customer data. The
Site ID List is the official resource for gathering site IDs however the
inherent structure aimed at keeping the customer name confidential limits its
usefulness. For that reason, ATCO Electric has developed reports that can
be used to create enrolment lists and to capture historical energy data.
Any request for customer data requires authorization from the customer using the
Authorization
and Release Form. Agents need to be assigned by use of the
Agency Appointment Agreement.
