Methods
We
primarily use a
bid invitation process
to sell surplus but we
do use
alternative methods
when circumstances, in our judgment, warrant such action. Our evaluation
and
award of business
considers both the
price offered
and other
non-price factors.
Information is not
routinely disclosed
regarding bids, negotiations, evaluations, or sales.

Work
on our Facilities
If
the removal of scrap or
surplus involves work in
our
facilities
we select only
those buyers we believe
knowledgeable and
competent to meet our
health, safety and
environmental
requirements.
We manage the sale
agreement and
monitor
the work or work results
to ensure
compliance.

and environmental
considerations are
included in the
development
of any sales contract.

Inventory
Inventory
is sold to outsiders if
it is obsolete or we
have too much for our
purposes. Other sales
may be made on an
exception basis. In such
sales, our intent is to
recover
fair market value.

and their
representatives are
received at our
discretion or in
accordance with any
contractual
arrangements. We
reasonably control
access to
our facilities,
and information, having in mind our
safety and operating needs,
and the
security of our information.
